Synaptic Geometry is a research-led digital studio working across art, knowledge, public systems, and the infrastructures that help them endure. Its purpose is simple to state and demanding to pursue: open infinite human potential.
Independent by design
A founder-led studio
Synaptic Geometry is an independent research studio founded and led by Simon David Porcella in Melbourne. The work joins software engineering with mathematics, philosophy, music, and visual culture.
Remaining founder-led keeps responsibility close to the work. When a project benefits from another discipline or craft, collaboration can grow around that need without obscuring who made what.
What guides the work
These principles apply whether the work is artistic, educational, civic, spiritual, commercial, or still difficult to name.
Creators hold the deeds
Artists and creators retain authorship and ownership of their work: culturally, technically, and, within the world as it stands, financially. A platform should strengthen that position, never quietly absorb it.
Opportunity should widen
Access is not evenly distributed. Synaptic Geometry gives particular weight to work that opens knowledge, tools, and opportunity to people historically kept at the edges of them.
Open trust needs strong boundaries
Open systems and robust security belong together. Privacy, resilient architecture, and clear control over identity and data create the conditions in which trust can remain genuinely open.
Many ways of knowing
Synaptic Geometry respects differing cultural, philosophical, political, and religious consciousness systems. Respect does not mean ignoring the historical hierarchies that still decide whose knowledge is heard and who receives safety or opportunity.
The studio seeks to make those structures more visible and to build practical openings beyond them. It does not build systems that profit from exploitation or dependency.
